Pope Francis has attacked alleged ‘misinformation’ regarding the Covid-19 vaccines as being a human rights violation, praising fact-checking organizations.

On Friday, Pope Francis claimed that an “infodemic” of misinformation about COVID-19 and the vaccines was spreading around the world just as quickly as the disease itself, which Francis described as “a distortion of reality based on fear.”

Francis, who earlier this year described criticism of the vaccines as “baseless,” said that it was a “human right” for people to be properly informed about the world around them. However, instead of encouraging people to research the truth for themselves, the Pope argued that free choice and open information leads to “confusion” for people.

Oh!  But there’s more ‘suckage’:

The Daily Sceptic reported recently on the plight of Kiribati, a remote island nation in the Pacific Ocean with a population of around 122,000, which until two weeks ago had avoided having any cases of COVID-19 at all, but following an outbreak has now imposed its first lockdown. What we didn’t know then is the detail of the extremely strict protocols the virus circumvented.

Not only were all 54 passengers on the flight fully vaccinated, masked, and tested negative for Covid three times in nearby Fiji before arrival, they had also been in pre-departure quarantine for two weeks before the flight, and were put in quarantine with additional testing when they arrived.

Despite this, two-thirds of the passengers (36 of 54) tested positive for Covid after arriving from Fiji on January 15th. This has led to the island’s first outbreak, which as of January 31st consists of 460 reported infections (and no deaths) and, despite the lockdown, is growing fast.

Nobody in the medical community is speaking out about how ludicrous this is, so I will.

ICYMI, (In Case You Missed It),  the Biden administration is giving out 400 million free N95 masks. Here’s the offer:

Here’s what they aren’t telling you:

1. An N95 respirator will “work” for around 2 hours in a hospital or similar setting with filtered air
2. An N95 respirator will “work” for around 30 min outdoors

So if 200M Americans receive two respirators each, they get around 4 hours of protection. And that only works if the respirators are fitted perfectly with no gaps and people are trained on their use. And as we noted before, even if everything was perfect, you aren’t likely to get anywhere close to 95% reduction in virions (because of the size of the particles and the rate of airflow into the respirator), and even with such a reduction, that’s unlikely to make the difference between getting infected and not getting infected.

In general, N95’s are ineffective with respect to protection against viral spread. Randomized studies show cloth and surgical masks do nothing. Zero.
