On the Backs of the Poor

When turds of the world are celebrated, awarded positions above their mental pay-grade, promoted to levels of authority where they harvest billions from the efforts of others, no matter that the efforts of others involve deplorable work conditions, along with minimal pay, insouciant people of this f***-up’d world respond by continuing to buy their shyte and listen to their BS.

  • Workers earn an hourly wage of 14.5 RMB ($2.26 USD) regardless of whether they worked normal hours or overtime hours, which includes a 1 RMB ($0.16 USD) attendance bonus. If the worker takes more than two days off or if they are late more than twice a month, their month’s wages would be calculated by a 13.5 RMB/hour ($2.11 USD) standard.

  • Workers do not earn enough to maintain a decent standard of living during off-season. During off season, on average, regular workers earn 2,000 RMB ($312.12 USD) a month and dispatch workers earn 2,500 RMB ($390.16 USD) a month. The average monthly wage in Hengyang in 2017 was 4,647 RMB ($725.22 USD)

So big deal, right? So what if another pond scum dwelling lizard makes billions off the backs of the poor?  Isn’t this the beauty of corporatism? Evidently it is.

9486592385_ff7906b85e_m-2Li Qiang, executive director of China Labor Watch, wrote to (Jeff) Bezos (Amazon CEO) last month and detailed the extensive list of rights violations.

Li accused Bezos of enriching himself on the backs of the poor. “The factory employs dispatch workers as a means to cut manufacturing costs,” he said. “Amazon is only concerned about whether or not its supplier factories are completing orders in time and is generally apathetic towards the working conditions.” The result: a tragic mess where Chinese workers cannot make an honest living — where have we seen this before?…Oh yes, the American gig-economy.

“The wages at Hengyang Foxconn are not enough to sustain a livelihood and workers must put in overtime hours so that they earn a sufficient amount to have a decent standard of living. The factory even cuts the overtime hours of workers as a form of punishment,” Li concluded.

While Amazon has pitched to the millennials that it cares about humanity in the modern economy, China Labor Watch exposes the giant tech company as an oppressor – denying its supplier the ability to pay their employees a living wage in a modern sweatshop – so that a few elitist Americans can buy smart speakers they cannot afford.  This is not sustainable…

Of course it’s not sustainable. But in the meantime, lizards like Bezos live the “American Dream” a billion-fold, with nary a care of the nightmares their unquenchable thirst for “more” creates for their workers.

Sadly, charlatans like Bezos will continue to reap riches for one reason only…that people just don’t care…until is is no longer sustainable for a-holes to produce junk that they can’t afford and the house of cards falls.  Then, they’ll care…maybe.

But the treats from turds continues, this time in the form of one truly deranged nutjob who babbles in arrogant platitudes that only demons relish:

Bill Maher wants economic collapse for America so that Trump loses in 2020

According to Zerohedge the HBO host who makes $6 million/year on top of his estimated $100 million net worth, made some brash and arrogant comments on his show about the US economy and those Americans who would suffer from a crash…

“This economy is going pretty well,” Maher said (total jobless claims remain the lowest they’ve been in 44 years, for example) before telling political commentator Shermichael Singleton “I feel like the bottom has to fall out at some point. And by the way, I’m hoping for it. Because I think one you get rid of Trump is a crashing economy. So please, bring on the recession. Sorry if that hurts people, but it’s either root for a recession  or you lose your democracy.” – via theduran.com

Big surprise that this loss could care less if a collapse of the American economy hurts people. This jackal has his and screw you. And people listen to this shyster!

While Americans hunt for their soul in the electronic goo of nonsense, the stalwart of truth-telling, one who has been imprisoned for the dastardly deed of bringing the truth to all who care to listen, continues to be imprisoned:

There is little doubt that the treatment of Assange by Ecuador’s government—and behind it, the small country’s corporate elite—is the outcome of pressure and threats by the US and other powers. Washington is demanding Assange’s head as the price of restoring relations. CIA director Mike Pompeo, now US secretary of state, asserted last year that WikiLeaks was a “non-state hostile intelligence agency,” due to its publication of documents exposing the operations of US intelligence.

Assange is being used as a bargaining chip in sordid negotiations between the US and Ecuador. On June 4, US Vice President Mike Pence met with Ecuadorian President Lenín Moreno. Amid the stepped-up persecution of Assange, Pence issued a statement lauding their discussion on “opportunities to reinvigorate the bilateral relationship” between the two countries. In words dripping with imperialist deceit, he said they would work together “to protect and promote freedom” and “build prosperity, security and democracy.” – via informationclearinghouse.info

The gods cry out, hoping regular people – the ordinary citizen – will stand up and say enough of this shyte. We will not stand for anymore (and we’ll quite buying their shyte.)

Until (and if) that happens, we are left to suffer from psychotic’s who gladly will lead the ordinary citizen into their circle’s of hell.  After all, that is where they reside…and they want the company.

In the meantime, Amazon has jock straps, devices and more junk on sale so that Bezos and his assistants can reap billions more on the backs of the poor.

“A culture that does not grasp the vital interplay between morality and power, which mistakes management techniques for wisdom, and fails to understand that the measure of a civilization is its compassion, not its speed or ability to consume, condemns itself to death.” ― Chris Hedges, Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle
