US Wallows in its Own Feces While Yemen is Being Leveled

While mainstream media in America debates whether EVERYONE in the land of the free and home of the slaves is a racist; with a state senator calling for the assassination of the POTUS on Facebook  (now deleted, of course  – hmmm, Facebook censors let a whopper get by them) and CNN’s Wolfie Blizter drinking deeply from the chalice of dumbshittery – the annihilation of a country is in process and the West couldn’t give more than a standard Starbucks’ Nitro Cold Brew about it all.

Throughout 2016, the UN High Commission for Refugees counted 3,936 airstrikes in Yemen. The newly released figures for the first half of 2017 show that previous figure, which covered an entire year, is already far surpassed, with 5,676 airstrikes launched by the end of June.

This has turned an already catastrophic humanitarian situation, with thousands killed in airstrikes, into an ever-mounting disaster, with the new strikes killing yet more civilians, and strikes so intense in some areas as to displace much of the civilian population elsewhere in the country.

Being an internally displaced person isn’t great wherever you are, but in Yemen it’s all but a death sentence, as a Saudi naval blockade is keeping food and medicine shipments in the country to a bare minimum, worsening a cholera epidemic and leaving much of the population on the brink of starvation.

Aid group Oxfam estimated that over 500,000 children (emphasis added) in Yemen are already suffering from “severe malnutrition” because of the blockade, and there are no signs of that situation improving any time soon. Indeed, Hodeidah, the last port that has access to the country’s north, is nearly constantly under siege, with the Saudis seeking to transfer it to the control of the country’s southern government. – Jason Ditz, via antiwar.com

Grazing_muzzle_01There are no congressional hearings about this. No “breaking news” banners from any of the moronic mainstream media outlets. No panel of “experts” decrying the decimation of a country.  We’re doubtful the Saudis’ ability to lay a country to waste and the USA’s silence about it all has anything to do with the $350 Billion recent arms deal back in May between the US and Saudi Arabia because as reported:

The agreement, which is worth $350 billion over 10 years and $110 billion that will take effect immediately, was hailed by the White House as “a significant expansion of…[the] security relationship” between the two countries.  CNBC.com

Evidently, the “security relationship” also involves politicians taking a mute stand on the destruction of Yemen.  Doubtful we’ll see America’s dimwitted tart, UN Ambassador Nikki Haley holding up pictures of suffering or deceased children of Yemen, nor Ivanka Trump taking pictures of those same suffering and deceased children to her father for him to kick some Saudi ass.

And if you think we’re going to hear about any of this in our press corps, there’s not a chance in hell.  After all, we have a kick-ass, epic eclipse coming up here in the States and our problem is where in the hell do we find those “eclipse sunglasses.”
