The Continuing Crisis

Anonymous sources agree that dumbshit Donny and his band of unstable and insane cohorts are doing all they can to demolish everything within their reach.  Doesn’t matter the pain and suffering experienced by others from their deeds, it’s the destruction that counts. And while it’s mostly groovy to them to see other’s suffering, they’re still not quite sure what they’ll be doing once they wipe out most of humanity with their wars, policies and other general horseshit.

US troops must prepare to fight around the moon, Trump’s top military adviser says – via apnews.com

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. (AP) — American troops need to prepare for combat not only in Earth’s orbit but around the moon, President Donald Trump’s top military adviser said Wednesday, looking ahead to a new frontier in warfare after the U.S. revealed for the first time that it has deployed weapons in space.

Gen. Dan Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, told service members and industry figures at the Air, Space and Cyber Conference outside Washington that the U.S. military should adapt now so it “is prepared to fight, endure and win … from the seabed to cislunar space.”

Jesus, Mary and holy St. Joseph!  These guys are boned for war, no matter when or where.  They can’t just kill here on earth, they want to kill in space too.  Shit, the military can’t even provide its own with edible food, drinking water and sanitation concerns on its aircraft carriers.  And they want American troops to be prepared to kill out in space.

Americans Have Spent Over $100 Billion More on Gas Thanks to Trump – via new republic.co

The Iran war has slammed the American pocketbook, costing the public billions more dollars at the gas pump.

Americans have collectively spent $107 billion more on gas and oil since the war began seven months ago, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday night. The estimate came from the Climate Solutions Lab at Brown University, which has been tracking the mounting costs.

Consumers have spent roughly $59 billion more on gas and $48.6 billion on diesel, according to the university’s tracker. That breaks down to an increased price tag of approximately $822.20 per U.S. household.

The price differential has been hardest felt in the Western half of the country, particularly in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

But it’s unlikely that the economic fallout will end anytime soon. Some of Donald Trump’s closest advisers—including Vice President JD Vance and State Secretary Marco Rubio—have reportedly discussed the conflict’s potentially extended timeline with the president, exploring the possibility that Tehran could continue to resist U.S. pressure and effectively push the war beyond Inauguration Day 2029.

Despite the dire reality of the closed-door conversations, Trump has invariably echoed his administration’s forecast for the war to the American public. Speaking with reporters earlier this month, Trump pledged that the conflict will end “immediately” after the midterm elections in November “because they can’t hold out any longer.”

And yet, with all these successes, VP Vance just wants another chance to continue to fuck things up.

“Give us another chance,” says Vice President JD Vance when asked about his midterm message to the American people.

The vice president joined the All-In podcast for a disastrous live interviewWednesday, during which he struggled to defend the Trump administration’s record on everything from the war in Iran to high rates of inflation

“You promised that you wouldn’t start a foreign war. You promised that you wouldn’t start a foreign war in the Middle East, specifically,” co-host Jason Calacanis said. “Americans—specifically the people who voted for you, Mr. Vice President—are very upset about starting this war. What is your message to them?”

“We invite people into the coalition who disagree with us. You don’t have to agree with us on every single issue.” Vance responded, completely dodging the question. He failed to acknowledge Donald Trump’s repeated promises to stay out of the Middle East, including a pledge at the Republican National Convention two years ago: “With our victory in November, the years of war, weakness, and chaos will be over. I don’t have wars,” Trump said at the time.

“Wanting to keep the United States out of foreign entanglements does not mean that you can never use the military in order to accomplish the American people’s objectives,” Vance continued. “I think the president has actually done the responsible thing here, which is to try to ensure that world energy markets, despite Iranian terrorism, continue to get that flow of oil and gas.”

That “flow,” Vance failed to mention, has resulted in the American people spending over $100 billion more at the gas pump since the war began seven months ago. (He also neglected to mention that oil was flowing just fine before Trump started his war of choice.)

“The alternative here, which is the United States effectively says to the Middle East, ‘You’re on your own,’ would mean necessarily a worldwide energy crisis,” Vance said, echoing his previous comments that Americans should be grateful gas prices aren’t higher.

The interview went even further off the rails when Vance was asked about his message to voters leading into the midterm elections this fall.

“Give us another couple of years,” Vance said. “Do you want to reelect the people who have made substantial progress, accepting there is still a lot of work to be done, or do you want to go back to the people who caused the problem in the first place?”

If Vance is trying to engender support for his historically unpopular party come November, “it could be worse” and “can we have redo?” are not exactly inspiring rallying cries.

How frickin’ embarrassing that morons like this are tolerated in government.  He should be cleaning toilets at the airport on the moon.

And then, when you try to take step to get rid of these clowns, well the clowns that are already in government do this to prevent one of their own from facing the music.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) announced he has canceled a planned House session for Thursday, sending lawmakers for an early seven-week recess and pushing back a vote to impeach US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth until after the midterm elections. – antiwar.com

But not to worry.  For when the Democrats take control, well you know, they’re going to have hearings on all this.  That’ll teach ’em!

This really is the twilight zone, yeah?
