“The arts are not a way to make a living. They are a very human way of making life more bearable. Practicing an art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow, for heaven’s sake.” ~ Kurt Vonnegut

What that must feel like to create such great art—I have a ball just creating the bad stuff! Or was Twain right, as soon as you have to do it, it’s no longer fun? As for the KV quote, that’s exactly why they’ve all but stripped public education of it, with all the liberal arts on the chopping block.

I’ve often thought the same…what must it feel like to create such art. And I too have a ball creating bad stuff! And you’re so right…such a travesty, really, that public education has done away with all the liberal arts. Thank you for the thoughtful comment. And thank you for stopping by. Cheers!
