Losing (yet finding) One’s Self

“The greatest hazard of all, losing one’s self, can occur very quietly in the world, as if it were nothing at all. No other loss can occur so quietly; any other loss – an arm, a leg, five dollars, a wife, etc. – is sure to be noticed.” ~ Søren Kierkegaard

A case can probably be made that what we are living in, what we find ourselves consummed with in this modern era of bollocks, is a kaleidoscope of souls lost, of hearts broken and of minds splintered – a collective of beings who have lost themselves – completely.

What I present each night on this website is snapshot of a species that has lost its mind – hoping against hope, that maybe, witnessing the insanity enfolding in new and sick ways each day, folks might summon that lost self to wake up…if even just a bit in order to save themselves, their children, their partners, their loves and family from the f**kery before us, and stand up to the charlatans of the era, and, in essence, tell them to go f**k themselves.

We have been taught to hate, taught that division is the answer – taught not of facts, dissuaded from thinking on our own; sopping up the absolute insanity of psychopath’s who pit race against race, gender against gender and religion against religion.

No profound thoughts here tonight – actually, I don’t think I’ve ever uttered a profound thought, I continue to  attempt to show that there is a better way to the shittery of texts, tweets, arguing with strangers online about the bullshit from the Washington slime that none of us ‘regular folks’ can change. For this is where we lose ourselves.

We can’t see the f**kery before us because we’re consumed with our own shit, our own perspective, which usually isn’t anything more than what we heard on CNN, MSNBC, FOX or NPR.

Do any of these modern day hucksters promote anything other than the corporate and government line? Do they promote true acceptance of all – no, they don’t.

Their offerings are nothing more than being censored into believing their nonsense, their bullshit, and yes, their f**kery.

There is something more, for each of us and our loved ones:

Tulsi Gabbard Speaks

University of San Francisco, March 16, 2019

It’s tough sometimes when we see what is happening in our country. There are a lot of challenges that we’re facing and it’s heartbreaking to see in so many different ways how we are being torn apart as people, how our country is being divided, how that vision that our founders had for us as a country, as a united country with a government of, by and for the people has been lost. It’s heartbreaking to see how people are suffering.

Our family, our friends, our neighbors are dealing with things that we shouldn’t have to be dealing with in this country. We’re in a place where we have a government that is not of the people, by the people and for the people, but rather a government that is controlled and influenced by self serving politicians, greedy corporations and those special interests who can afford to buy their seat at the table as laws are being made.

I am not intimidated by the military industrial complex and what they are fishing for. I’m not running for president to be president. I’m running for president to be able to bring about this sea change in our foreign policy that is so necessary for us and for the world.

Quickly regarding the last question, I’m a practicing Hindu. I practice Bhakti Yoga and Karma Yoga. I dedicate my life to do my best every day, to be of service to God and to be of service to others. That pretty much sums up my spiritual foundation and my motivation throughout my life.” – via mintpressnews.com

Though I may not agree with all of Ms. Gabbard’s beliefs and positions – it’s okay. Who of us agrees with all of another’s beliefs. But even if she turns out to be nothing more than the plastic composites of presidential candidates before, who have contributed to state of daily Gehenna each of us continue to face – her words above still ring true – “to be of service to God and to be of service to others.”

There is still time for each of us to be of service to God and to be of service to others. In my small mind, there is no other hope to evade further insanities after insanities from the demons we’ve allowed to take hearts, our minds, our intellect and our very selves.
