“I am at the moment writing a lengthy indictment against our century. When my brain begins to reel from my literary labors, I make an occasional cheese dip.” ― John Kennedy Toole,
It’s always easy to escape the often times depressing reality of life in the richest country in the world – you just take a nap, or maybe make a cheese dip.
The problem with the nap is that you always (most times) wake up from it and have to once again deal with all the guano of life in the modern world, in all its various stench.
But there are always the do-gooders. Those who just can’t help themselves but to take perfectly working things and make them “better” and thus create a new bag of misery for everyone.
Colorado Set To Become First In U.S. To Use “Smart Pavement” To Monitor Drivers In Real-Time
Most people who are at least aware of The Internet of Things are inclined to believe that it is purely about connecting smart gadgets and appliances to a localized home network. However, The Internet of Things itself is just one component of a much larger move toward full-scale smart cities where all infrastructure is embedded with sensors that can track and manage all people and all movements.
Colorado has announced that it is slated to become the first city in the United States to implement “smart pavement” as part of its preparation for the arrival of autonomous vehicles and sensor-linked standard vehicles that “can identify and warn drivers of hazardous conditions and sharp curves ahead but also provide and interconnectedness that is increasingly widespread,” according to The Denver Post.
“Smart pavement can make that determination and send that information directly into a vehicle,” said Peter Kozinski, director of CDOT’s futuristic RoadX division. “Data is the new asphalt of transportation.” via activistpost.com
Jesus, Mary and Joseph! Please, just leave things alone. Quit with the “data is the new whatever”, along with the obligatory – we’ve got to ensure your life is better, and of course, safer – by monitoring your every step, every text, every email, every syllable uttered and now, every mile your car drives.
There are REAL problems that need to be addressed: the insatiable appetite of Washington for continued wars; the uninsured, the homeless, the elderly, the mentally ill – those REAL citizens in our country who need a part of the $717 Billion in military expenditures that Washington dishes out to its friends in corporate board rooms in Manhattan.
“Smart” this, smart that…the journey toward becoming the dumbest creatures to walk the earth continues.
Your appliances will “communicate” with each other, your TV will be watching you, Facebook and Google will monitor what you read and only allow content they deem acceptable for you to read. “Alexa” will be monitoring your speech at home; government and their media stenographers will be telling you what is acceptable thought, and your phone beckons you to read it with each annoying “ping”, with mostly drivel on the other end. Yes, we progressed to the point where we can’t read a map, can’t drive a city road without a voice from our phones telling us where to turn, and now need smart pavement to warn drivers of hazardous conditions and sharp turns ahead.
Our attention, directed to all that doesn’t matter is making all of us complete buffoons.
We’re unable to think through things anymore due to the constant noise from all the electronic goo that we allow ourselves to be bombarded with every day. Our kids are detached from us, we’re detached from our wives, husbands, lovers and friends and even ourselves, unable to make true connections anymore because we’re “smarter”. We avoid thinking – we let the electronic goo of the age do that for us. We’ve shut down and tuned out, and in its place, we’ve tuned toward a mountain of nonsense that makes us more detached, more alone, more depressed…but it’s all okay because we’re told we’re being smarter.
With more electronic goo in the form of 5G about to make life even smarter and faster (and deadlier) for all of us, we soon won’t be able to recognize anything other than the daily directive coming from our phones, refrigerators, TV’s, dishwashers, cars and now, pavement. Suicide by being smarter.
“Day One” for most people started the day they were born. There is hardly a sense of, and certainly a profound ignorance of history among so many today. And the history given to us by well-meaning (and not so well-meaning) educators is, how shall we say, mostly written by the victors before us. And the victors that came before us, laid to waste many a nation with their promises of making their country great…again.
The current victors would have us believe that there is a terrorist lurking behind every smartphone – thus we need to destroy other nations to keep us safe. We are faced with a medical cartel who would have us to believe that what they provide is the ONLY means to good health, and they’ll do whatever is necessary to keep other forms of healing provided by God, Mother Earth or whatever quorum of creators who started all this, and provided, in abundance, everything we might need to sustain each of us toward our journey to the other side, far outside our grasp.
“Unless we put medical freedom into the Constitution the time will come when medicine will organize itself into an undercover dictatorship. To restrict the art of healing to doctors and deny equal privileges to others will constitute the Bastille of medical science. All such laws are un-American and despotic.” ― Benjamin Rush
We’ve “progressed” to the point where the demons in charge no longer operate in an “undercover” dictatorship. The sicknesses in their minds are on full display for everyone to see. But the citizen of the West ignores the elephant in the room, tilts their head downward to look at the smart deception in their hand, and being the obedient citizen, never questions, never seeks the truth, never says…NO! F-that, we aren’t taking it anymore.
Sadly, we’re being outsmarted by goons and shysters, caring not of our own health, well-being – nor for others, whether they be our ourselves, our children or parents – or the children and parents in lands far away from us.
We’re being poisoned by the food we eat, and the water we drink – our sons and daughters are sent to fight the jive-ass wars of Washington, and we don’t blink an eye, wondering what is wrong with this country.
