When one’s life is in constant motion, with never a let-up from the bombardment of electronic and technological madness that engulfs us all – 100% of the time occupied with texts, tweets, social media posts, television “programming” – our minds, just like any other body part, both internal and external, if not used, stops working.
If constantly filled with guano pudding each day from all this electronic goo, the mind will eventually shut down. If not freed, at least occasionally, to do what it was intended to do; to think, to reason, to question, unencumbered from all the rubbish its being fed 24/7 – it ceases to work properly.
Minds no longer functioning with any type of empathy, kindness, consideration, tolerance, logic, common sense, and love for their fellow human traveler are common place today.
Indeed, unarmed Palestinian protesters simply threw themselves in front of Israeli bullets. Funny (not really) that when Syria was accused of using chemical weapons on their own people, with pictures of Syrian children affected as provided by the US funded White Helmets, the US responded with their own missiles of death and destruction. But when Palestinian children die, the White House can’t find a vowel or consonant to protest such brutality.
Following reports that Israeli forces killed 57 Palestinians and injured thousands more during Monday protests along the Gaza border, right-wing commentator Ann Coulter seemingly endorsed the efforts and suggested the U.S. take a similarly violent approach toward migrants attempting to cross into the U.S.
“Can we do that?” Coulter wrote on Twitter, linking to a New York Times article titled, “Israel responded with rifle fire to a mass attempt by Palestinians to cross a border fence, killing at least 28, Palestinian officials said.” – via Newsweek.com
Whether Ms. Coulter would volunteer to be on the front lines, with rifle sights set on brown-skinned men, women and children, personally killing immigrants crossing the U.S. border illegally wasn’t mentioned by Ms. Coulter. Evidently, it’s easy to spout off about the death of others when someone else is doing the killing.
Typical of the mindset of corporate media reporting on what happened in Gaza on Monday as Israeli soldiers killed more than 50 protesting Palestinians, is this tweet from CNN. It says: “Death toll rises to at least 52 people during clashes along the border fence between Israel and Gaza, Palestinian officials say. More than 2,400 people have been injured.” CNN’s new slogan is “#FactsFirst.”
Adam Johnson, who writes for the media watchdog Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting, responded to CNN with a tweet of his own:
“This one’s got it all:
- ‘death toll rises’ — no one was killed and no one specific party did the killing, the death toll just mysteriously ‘rises’
- ‘clashes’ — launders all power asymmetry
- 2,400 people have been injured’ — all 2,400 are Palestinian but lets go with ‘people’.” – via antimedia.com
Of course the corporate media could give a shyte about dead Palestinians. Just as the lack of an uproar for those innocents who have died from Washington’s bombs – with Trump & Company dropping three times as many bombs on Afghanistan compared to 2016 and Under Trump, the United States has dropped about 20,650 bombs through July 31 (2017), or 80 percent the number dropped under Obama for the entirety of 2016 – it’s a heavy load of death and destruction the West unloads on innocents that Washington & Company mark for annihilation.
These psychopath’s are not personally doing the killings. Washington orders the killings, the media whitewashes it all, if it even reports on it, and Americans turn to their attention to texts, tweets, social media offerings that further enhance the mind not to think at all – to go along with rot and ignore the travesty and killings set upon innocents.
And more madness:
A powerful government’s military unleashed chemical weapons on a crowd of protesters in Gaza this week, but Team America-World Police is nowhere to be found. That’s because the government that launched the attack is Israel’s, and the United States has a habit of ignoring its allies’ crimes and suppressions of dissent. – via antimedia.com
Psychotic’s, non-thinkers, spoiled brats wrapped in their cocoon of ignorance – brain dead minds and souls of stone – what will they have to say about their calls for the death of innocents to the God they purport to believe in when they take their last breath?
We labor today under the weight of countless tyrannies, large and small, carried out in the name of the national good by an elite class of government officials who are largely insulated from the ill effects of their actions.
We, the middling classes, are not so fortunate.
We find ourselves badgered, bullied and browbeaten into bearing the brunt of their arrogance, paying the price for their greed, suffering the backlash for their militarism, agonizing as a result of their inaction, feigning ignorance about their backroom dealings, overlooking their incompetence, turning a blind eye to their misdeeds, cowering from their heavy-handed tactics, and blindly hoping for change that never comes. – John W.
