“He was a dreamer, a thinker, a speculative philosopher… or, as his wife would have it, an idiot.” ~ Douglas Adams
Knowing what our family, our” blood”, our relatives – our wives, husbands, and significant or insignificant lovers, sharing the same bathroom, think of us, deep within their hearts with no filters in place, is like knowing which way the wind will be blowing tomorrow at 1:15 p.m.
And thank the gods above. For if we really knew what they truly thought of us, we might run to the nearest underground bunker or armored redoubt that preppers, elite bon vivant’s and super-duper, special government officials have in place for when the real shyte hits the fan.
A nation is its’ people…all the good and all the bad – all stuffed into one tasty burrito wrap. We are, whether we like it or not…family. And just like we might censor (if we value a tranquil home life) what we truly think of our “blood”, so too, we censor (most of us, anyway) what we truly think of our nation. But censoring our thoughts of what we think of our nation doesn’t come from valuing a tranquil home life. It pretty much originates from ourselves, from fear of speaking out against the daily guano we’re all subjected to, knowing in our unfiltered hearts that most of what our “enlightened” leaders present to us each day is a crock of shit and it stinketh mightily.
You know how it goes…your significant other waltzes through the front door after an arduous day of “work” – you’re busy doing chores around the homestead (which, in itself, should be a cause for celebration) and they say, “Dear… guess what I did today? I launched a hundred missiles or so on a neighborhood a few thousand miles away – just because I could.” Grim work, but someone’s got to do it.
The leader of our family, or nation, if you will, and its’ extended family members being elected “officials”, along with that crazy uncle in the form of the mainstream media – these whom we’re led to believe have the interests of their fellow family members first and foremost in mind when they go to work to do each day, have displayed such bat-shit crazy personality traits, that we think to ourselves, privately, of course – these nutjobs need to be locked up.
With the family purse being squandered away via a death wish upon other countries who don’t want to sit in the mud bath of Washington’s lunacy, our “family” tells us it’s patriotic to reduce countries thousands of miles away to rubble. So what if other families we’ve never met are obliterated. “Freedom” can extract a high price…for everyone else, of course. So we’re told.
And after having others do one’s lunatic bidding of Washington’s latest venture of destruction, this is the latest inner dwellings of nuttiness from the POTUS:
“Just hit 50% in the Rasmussen Poll, much higher than President Obama at same point. With all of the phony stories and Fake News, it’s hard to believe! Thank you America, we are doing Great Things.” – Donald J. Trump on Twitter
But just a few days previously…
In announcing the strikes, Trump delivered a pointed criticism of Russia. “Russia must decide if it will continue down this dark path or if it will join with civilized nations as a force for stability and peace,” he said. – via Politico.com
Indeed…join the “civilized” nations who have brought destruction to Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan and more, and are, like the jilted lover, peeved that Syria (with magnificent assistance from Russia) will not allow them to lay to waste another Middle Eastern country who can’t quite come to appreciate the bouquet of Washington’s odor – with the crazy uncle/mainstream media providing cover for the stench of Washington.
And just to demonstrate more craziness from that unhinged uncle…the following is some delightful hosrseshit demonstrating just how far the American family can travel into worlds celebrating the misery of others: (via HuffPost.com)
Leaders of other families in nations far from Washington don’t act with such insanity:
“I try, or rather, I am guided by the interests of the Russian people in my work, taking into account everything that has been previously accumulated and the conditions we are living in today, and I try to get a glimpse of the way we should build our life, economy and policy – first and foremost, our domestic policy – as well as our foreign policy in the medium and long-term strategic perspective.
There are many good examples in both Russian and European history, as well as in world history. But all those people lived and worked in certain conditions. The most important thing is to be honest with yourself and with the people who have entrusted you with this work.” Vladimir Putin – via mintpress.com
And the most sobering thought of all for the American “family” to consider….
“Publish a world map and mark all the U.S. military bases on it. You will see the difference between Russia and the US” – Vladimir Putin
(By Corriere della Sera Translation by Julia Gabrielle Barnes MintPress News)
So, while that crazy uncle provides cover for the jackals and shysters in our government, supposedly representing our family here in the U.S. – you know, the ones that deep within your unfiltered heart and brain know need to be locked away; perhaps it might be time for that much needed family intervention to send them, hopefully far away, to lands of solitude – before they blow you, your families, and the rest of the families of the world away.
“The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.” ~ H.L. Mencken
