The road to Hell is paved with good intentions – so the proverb states. Seems nearly everybody today has “good intentions”. Sadly, most of those who have good intentions are nothing more than a psychotic land mine about to explode.
In other words, if you, by chance, or from the sheer volume of insanity you must face each and every day have thought to yourself, “the world has gone nuts”, pat yourself on the back because it has.
Take a peak at the drudgereport.com, our daily barometer of perusing the tasty delights of full-blown insanity on display that is the everyday of the modern world.
Everything from KFC running out of gravy; to New Google “smart” phone spies from corner of the room; to Weinstein ‘casting couch’ statue near OSCARS venue; to Saline in IV’s increases risk of death?, and then to the ever-so-cheery financial news (from government sources, of course) U.S. jobless claims plunge to 49 year low; Income up most in 5 years – all this from just one day!
And finally, some demonic dessert toppings from one of Beelzebub’s assistants – GOOGLE Schmidt – AI movie death scenarios one to two decades away
Rapid advances in artificial intelligence and military robotics have some concerned that the development of Terminator-like killer robots will be humankind’s downfall. But that doesn’t seem to worry Eric Schmidt, the former executive chairman of Google parent company Alphabet, who addressed the impact of technology on democracy at the Feb. 16-18 Munich Security Conference.
“Everyone immediately then wants to talk about all the movie-inspired death scenarios, and I can confidently predict to you that they are one to two decades away. So let’s worry about them, but let’s worry about them in a while,“ Schmidt said. – via defensenews.com
Ah! Isn’t Beelzebub’s assistant so cute and clever? The good intentions of psychopath’s just keep rolling along.
Then we have the 99.9% deranged Donald Trump throwing out darts to his supporters, after apparently having a session with an oracle for the dawn of thought – he then came up with this “stunner”…
In a remarkable meeting, the president veered wildly from the N.R.A. playbook in front of giddy Democrats and stone-faced Republicans. He called for comprehensive gun control legislation that would expand background checks to weapons purchased at gun shows and on the internet, keep guns from mentally ill people, secure schools and restrict gun sales for some young adults. He even suggested a conversation on an assault weapons ban.
At one point, Mr. Trump suggested that law enforcement authorities should have the power to seize guns from mentally ill people or others who could present a danger without first going to court. “I like taking the guns early,” he said, adding, “Take the guns first, go through due process second.” – via the NewYorkTimes.com
A ploy? A trick? Or just a reason to send out a 100% contradictory tweet down the road, who knows for sure.
Shockingly, he didn’t mention taking the bombs, artillery, guns, ammo, nuclear weapons, et al, out of the hands of himself, his military advisors of death, regime change nightmare excursions, and destruction of other countries that end innocent men, women and children’s lives – just not in our country. Maybe that will come in Act II, since the NY Times is referring to this as a “performance”. Aren’t they all? Maybe Act II will have some sort of gooey talk of required “extensive background checks” for evidence of even a morsel of empathy or sanity among any government “official” who has any “authority” over the lives of anyone.
Let’s review some recent “good intentions” from the current administration, courtesy of Caitlin Johnstone from her recent offering: “Hillary Demands Even More Russia Escalations from Trump Administration” via caitlinjohnstone.com
This administration has already killed Russians in Syria, greatly escalated nuclear tensions with Russia, allowed the sale of arms to Ukraine (a move Obama refused for fear of angering Moscow), established a permanent military presence in Syria with the goal of effecting regime change, forced RT and Sputnik to register as foreign agents, expanded NATO with the addition of Montenegro, assigned Russia hawk Kurt Volker as special representative to Ukraine, shut down a Russian consulate in San Francisco and thrown out Russian diplomats as part of continued back-and-forth hostile diplomatic exchanges, all while keeping the troops on Russia’s border placed there at the end of the Obama administration.
Can you imagine Russia bringing war ships into the Gulf of Mexico to counter America’s presence there? How do you think the hysterical cold war climate of today would react to that? What do you think Hillary Clinton would be saying to increase public pressure on Trump to aggressively confront Russia for such a bold move? Trump is marching us closer and closer to a third and final World War, and these psychos are saying he’s not hawkish enough. (emphasis added)
Imagine being poked in the eye…repeatedly, by the school yard bully or a-hole at your corporate gig. After the 5th, 10th, or 50th time, you say to yourself, enough is enough and next time they try to stick one of their stinky fingers in your eye, you retaliate. Quite understandable, yes?
“… to those who in the past 15 years have tried to accelerate an arms race and seek unilateral advantage against Russia, have introduced restrictions and sanctions that are illegal from the standpoint of international law aiming to restrain our nation’s development, including in the military area, I will say this: everything you have tried to prevent through such a policy has already happened. No one has managed to restrain Russia.
Now we have to be aware of this reality and be sure that everything I have said today is not a bluff ‒ and it is not a bluff, believe me ‒ and to give it a thought and dismiss those who live in the past and are unable to look into the future, to stop rocking the boat we are all in and which is called the Earth….
I should note that our military doctrine says Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons solely in response to a nuclear attack, OR AN ATTACK WITH OTHER WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AGAINST THE COUNTRY OR ITS ALLIES, OR AN ACT OF AGRESSION AGAINST US WITH THE USE OF CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS THAT THREATEN THE VERY EXISTENCE OF THE STATE. (emphasis mine). This all is very clear and specific.
As such, I see it is my duty to announce the following. Any use of nuclear weapons against Russia or its allies, weapons of short, medium or any range at all, will be considered as a nuclear attack on this country. Retaliation will be immediate, with all the attendant consequences.” ~ Vladimir Putin – March 1st, 2018 speech in Moscow ~ via Russia-Insider.com
Are the demons in Washington listening? Or will they continue to provoke until the final straw is drawn and those of us unfortunate enough to have survived, must deal with the final consequences of Washington’s good intentions?
