There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened. – Douglas Adams
How many times throughout the age of men, women, cats, dogs and genetically modified everything has the Universe has been replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable than the previous universe is open to debate among those who find themselves living amidst this cosmic joke. Once? 5 times? 100 times?
I heard a comment made the other day on some program I was listening to which stated, (I’m paraphrasing) that if it doesn’t make sense – it probably isn’t true. With the vast majority of Americans on permanent snooze mode, if they were awakened from their slumber, dreaming of tomorrow’s epic texts, and told that Pokéman Go was used by the Russians to tip the election for the guy with orange hair, they’d probably yawn and think…yeah, that makes sense. And CNN has reported just that. But if that doesn’t float your boat, try partaking of the libido libations offered up by the NY Times with their latest drivel: Why Women Had Better Sex Under Socialism. Sure, why not…we’ll believe about anything. If a time machine trip was granted to the author of this drivel, would they happily hop on board to live the dream of communism in the Soviet Union and China during its heyday? Probably not.
Nearly every day I wake with hope that neighbors, co-workers, people on the streets, politicians, Hollywood degenerates, media nuclear waste dumps and other living morons won’t be the nutjobs they exhibit every sign of being. I am always disappointed.
theDuran.com is reporting, via Politico, that Washington’s favorite pop-tart, UN Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, is the author of Trump’s anti-Iran policies.
Shocking! (not really)
That a former TV reality show host, now POTUS, would pick an inexperienced nincompoop, whose daily inner dialogue consists of one psychotic thought bouncing off the previous psychotic thought, as the US downgrades a little more toward complete and utter lunacy with each passing day is probably to be expected (at least in the bubble universe that is the USA). And when you have a country, which unapologetically bombs countries to ruins, assisting and helping terrorists – creating subterfuge, schemes, whacked-out scenarios – all to keep the warfare state humming along – it is to be expected.
“According to research from the nonprofit monitoring group Airwars, the first seven months of the Trump administration have already resulted in more civilian deaths than under the entirety of the Obama administration. Airwars reports that under Obama’s leadership, the fight against IS led to approximately 2,300 to 3,400 civilian deaths. Through the first seven months of the Trump administration, they estimate that coalition air strikes have killed between 2,800 and 4,500 civilians.” via antimedia.org
But as millions of Americans continue to ignore the obvious – that the country has been taken over by sleaze; by deviants to all that is decent, good and true – nothing will improve until the deviants are exorcised out of the halls of power, money, influence and sickeningly depressing entertainment offerings and herded onto the nearest unattended ride at the amusement park and never allowed off the spinning thing.
Or, Americans can continue to ignore the shenanigans of their elected officials, many of whom appear to be on some drug induced pharmaceutical trip and wake up one day to find the hangman’s noose tightly around their neck from the policies, procedures, laws, and police state they subjected upon the country’s citizens, and on the world at large.
“Those Whom the Gods Wish to Destroy, They First Make Mad” – and the gods are working overtime with America.
We always look for hope here at the Asylum – not the navel-gazing reflections from the modern day of ugliness and bad taste, but for a more elegant way. We found this:
Glamorous, old-fashioned Balls aren’t going to change the world and certainly wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea…but culture always trumps politics. And the ugliness of our current culture could stand a bit of elegance.
