It Takes Cash, Don’t You Know

The Supreme Court on Tuesday extended an order blocking full SNAP payments, amid signals that the government shutdown could soon end and food aid payments resume.

The order keeps a chaotic situation in place at least for a few more days. People who depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program to feed their families in some states have received their full monthly allocations, while others have received nothing. – CNN.com

Well, that’s good!  SNAP recipients can do without their extra large bin of cookies sold at next to nothing prices for a few more days.  Who cares if  they can’t really afford much of anything in terms of real food. The average SNAP benefit of approximately $187 per person per month should go towards buying $187 worth of vegetables each month anyway.  I mean, that’ll fill a person up for at least a few days, maybe even a week or two.  Thank God the Supremes have the mind-power to see what’s going on and block those monumentally full payments.  Such nutritional experts of the mind and body.

And even though the shutdown isn’t over yet…well, it will be, just soon enough so don’t think anything more about it.  So what if their plan is so good that they’ll face another shutdown by January 30th of next year. Besides, there’s other more important expenditures on the governments spend list.

Report: US To Build $500 Million Military Base in Israel on the Gaza Border

According to the Israeli investigative outlet Shomrim, the base will be big enough to house thousands of US and international troops – antiwar.com

Hmmm, that’s nice!

US Bombs Somalia for the 90th Time This Year

All those bombs, and planes and the people needed to drop those bombs from the skies costs money, fools!  Spending money on food for the poor and paying government workers for the work they do and all that nonsense just gets in the way of the money needed for more destruction and killings.

The USS Gerald Ford, the US military’s largest aircraft carrier, has arrived in the Caribbean as part of a major US military buildup in the region aimed at ousting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

According to a report from USNI News, the carrier has arrived with three US Navy destroyers from its strike group, joining other US warships already in the region. The additional forces bring the total number of US military personnel in the Caribbean to about 15,000. – antiwar.com

Takes tons of cash to move this kind of military and personnel around, don’t you know!

But the Agent of Chaos is always thinking…or at least entertaining whatever latest nonsense his tribe puts before him.

White House officials are furious with Bill Pulte, the Federal Housing Finance Agency director, who talked the president into suggesting a 50-year mortgage plan.

The White House was blindsided by the idea, according to two people familiar with the situation granted anonymity to discuss internal thinking, and is now dealing with a furious backlash from conservative allies, business leaders and lawmakers.

On Saturday evening, Pulte arrived at President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Golf Club with a roughly 3-by-5 posterboard in hand. A graphic of former President Franklin Roosevelt appeared below “30-year mortgage” and one of Trump below “50-year mortgage.” The headline was “Great American Presidents.”

Roughly 10 minutes later, Trump posted the image to Truth Social, according to one of the people familiar, who was with the president at the time. – politico.com

I’m as dumbfounded as you that a real estate billionaire could be so blind as to not see past a 3-by-5 postcard about a 50 year mortgage.  Oh, I get it.  A graphic of him and FDR with the headline of Great American Presidents was just too enticing to pass up, no matter the insanity of the idea presented.

Winning!
