The Shutdown is over! What a relief!
Well, it’s sort of over. It could be over but it may still take a week or more for what needs to get done, to get done. Who really knows!
But these poor Congress people and Senators – you must understand what kind of stress they’ve been under. Whether to fund SNAP benefits to feed the poor and hungry; whether to extend the ObamaCare subsidies that keep health care premiums at their already ridiculously high prices, or stop those subsidies and allow monthly premiums to go into the stratosphere. There’s a lot on their plate. And of course, THEY’RE still being paid, so if you were worried that they might be working without pay as so many of the lesser people are, breathe in a sigh of relief knowing that they’re still well taken care of.
And if you’re one of those government employees who isn’t getting paid for your time and efforts these past 40+ days, the Agent of Chaos has some comforting and inspiring words for you:

All Air Traffic Controllers must get back to work, NOW!!! Anyone who doesn’t will be substantially “docked.” For those Air Traffic Controllers who were GREAT PATRIOTS, and didn’t take ANY TIME OFF for the “Democrat Shutdown Hoax,” I will be recommending a BONUS of $10,000 per person for distinguished service to our Country. For those that did nothing but complain, and took time off, even though everyone knew they would be paid, IN FULL, shortly into the future, I am NOT HAPPY WITH YOU. You didn’t step up to help the U.S.A. against the FAKE DEMOCRAT ATTACK that was only meant to hurt our Country. You will have a negative mark, at least in my mind, against your record. If you want to leave service in the near future, please do not hesitate to do so, with NO payment or severance of any kind! You will be quickly replaced by true Patriots, who will do a better job on the Brand New State of the Art Equipment, the best in the World, that we are in the process of ordering. The last “Administration” wasted Billions of Dollars trying to fix antiquated “junk.” They had no idea what they were doing! Trump urged Senate Republicans in a Truth Social post on Saturday to send the money used to offset the costs of ACA health care premiums “directly to the people” so they can “purchase their own, much better, health care.” – cnn.com
In a Truth Social post Saturday morning, Trump wrote: “I am recommending to Senate Republicans that the Hundreds of Billions of Dollars currently being sent to money sucking Insurance Companies in order to save the bad Healthcare provided by ObamaCare, BE SENT DIRECTLY TO THE PEOPLE SO THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER, HEALTHCARE, and have money left over.” – foxnews.com
Of course it makes total sense. Give them money so they can then turnaround, and give it to the insurance companies who are charging the outrageous premiums to begin with. What a win-win! And if you don’t believe there is much better health care out there other than what’s offered by the money sucking insurance companies, then you’re just not listening closely enough to this petulant man-child.
