America Pulls Back From Values That Once Defined It, WSJ-NORC Poll finds – via wsj.com
Patriotism, religious faith, having children and other priorities that helped define the national character for generations are receding in importance to Americans, a new Wall Street Journal-NORC poll finds.
The survey, conducted with NORC at the University of Chicago, a nonpartisan research organization, also finds the country sharply divided by political party over social trends such as the push for racial diversity in businesses and the use of gender-neutral pronouns.
Some 38% of respondents said patriotism was very important to them, and 39% said religion was very important. That was down sharply from when the Journal first asked the question in 1998, when 70% deemed patriotism to be very important, and 62% said so of religion.
Wait….wuuuut??? Who could have seen this one coming? Jesus, Mary and holy St Joseph! (And it’s not just America)
But surely something, some value or priority must have increased…right?
The only priority the Journal tested that has grown in importance in the past quarter-century is money, which was cited as very important by 43% in the new survey, up from 31% in 1998.
That’s good! At least the decline in values and morals hasn’t really affected much of anything. I mean, people are still good…still have their wits about them – aren’t complete boneheads, idiots, scum, liars, dickheads, arseholes and shysters…right?

didn’t need a poll to see the lack of morals and patriotism. I also have no patriotism to this system of slavery. Religion has sold out with their 501C being more important then moral values. priests raping children. oh yeah we don’t talk about that in society. i see people saying ‘restore the republic’ my answer is let it die!! it failed!! badly….let it die and begin anew with something that works….repeating the same mistake over and over has done nothing except cause more of the same. no rulers….no masters…for a start
i have been dying to say something about these lying whores at nasa and other places with big telescopes. They claim that certain planets have gas and not air. having never gone there and seeing it through a telescope lens tells them everything they need to know about it ? really??? wow…and people buy that b.s. i don’t believe a second they have even sent probes to mars. they have never left the planet except in a hollywood studio. and yet looking through the glass they can tell exactly what a planet has on it for water, air, soil, temperature, everything!! wow…amazing!!
so they can look at a black hole and say how big it is? they can tell how fast a planet is moving having never left it they would know right? how is it measured….do they can radar guns in space checking the speed of both this planet and all others? they can tell what a comet is made from having never touched it….so many lies they just make it up….they give people their answer and it is the only answer allowed…and everyone goes back to sleep and says…see…they went to the moon in an aluminum foil dinner wrapper surrounding a small capsule that somehow had a vehicle inside it as well as 3 astronauts…yeah…right….i have swamp land on venus i would like to sell!
long and short it blows my mind what people are willing to believe. they give credibility to monsters in lab coats who know nothing other then what they are told to know. they write papers and journals and act all important as if they alone have the answers of God, The Universe, and Everything! the mice know more then science does!!
