‘The Life We Save May Be Our Own’ – Flannery O’Connor

“Every time we turn our heads the other way when we see the law flouted, when we tolerate what we know to be wrong, when we close our eyes and ears to the corrupt because we are too busy or too frightened, when we fail to speak up and speak out, we strike a blow against freedom and decency and justice.” ― Robert F. Kennedy

Fortifying Immune Systems

“I was struck, during Covid-19’s early months, that America’s Doctor (Dr. Fauci), apparently preoccupied with his single vaccine solution, did little in the way of telling Americans how to bolster their immune response. He never took time during his daily White House briefings From March to May 2020 to instruct Americans to avoid tobacco (smoking and e-cigarettes/vaping double death rates from Covid), to get plenty of sunlight and to maintain adequate vitamin D levels (“Nearly 60 percent of patients with Covid-19 were vitamin D deficient upon hospitalization, with men in the advanced stage of Covid-19 pneumonia showing the greatest deficit”); or to diet, exercise, and lose weight (78 percent of Americans hosptalized for Covid-19 were overweight or obese).” Quite the contrary. Dr. Fauci’s lockdowns caused American to gain an average of two pounds per month and to reduce their daily steps by 27 percent. He didn’t recommend avoiding sugar and soft drinks, processed foods and chemical residues, all of which amplify inflammation, compromise immune response and disrupt the gut biome which governs the immune system. During the centuries that science has fruitlessly sough remedies against coronavirus (aka the common cold), only zinc has repeatedly proven its efficacy in peer-reviewed studies. Zinc impedes viral replication, prophylaxing against colds and abbreviating their duration. The groaning shelves that commercial pharmacies devote to zinc-based cold remedies attest to its extraordinary efficacy. Yet Anthony Fauci never advised American to increase zinc uptake following exposure to infection. ” –  Excerpt from the book, ‘The Real Anthony Fauci’, by Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

I’ve often joked here that God, Mother Earth, or the committee of dolphins who started this shindig, screwed up, and gave us a magnificent immune system but with an expiration date of 2020. Since that fateful year, health can now only be obtained via vials of chemical goo, so the shysters tell us.

But not really… our immune system is alive and well, if we but nurture it.

Licorice Inhibits Replication of Coronavirus – via libertyjournal.org

Glycyrrhizin was valued in ancient Arabia and Greece for treating coughs and in China for relieving irritation of the mucous membranes. In modern times, glycyrrhizin has been shown to be a formidable antiviral, fighting herpes, HIV, hepatitis, influenza, encephalitis and pneumonia as well as less known viruses like respiratory syncytial virus, arboviruses, vaccinia virus and vesicular stomatitis virus.

Glycyrrhizin Has Medicinal Properties

You may think of licorice as an extract, a sweetener or even a candy, like Good and Plenty, but it’s actually complex biochemically and offers important medical benefits. According to PubChem, a database of chemical molecules maintained by the National Center for Biotechnology Information,

“Glycyrrhizic acid is extracted from the root of the licorice plant; Glycyrrhiza glabra. It is a triterpene glycoside with glycyrrhetinic acid that possesses a wide range of pharmacological and biological activities … potential immunomodulating, anti-inflammatory, hepato- and neuro-protective, and antineoplastic activities.

Glycyrrhizin modulates certain enzymes involved in inflammation and oxidative stress, and downregulates certain pro-inflammatory mediators, thereby protecting against inflammation- and reactive oxygen species (ROS)-induced damage. Glycerrhizin may also suppress the growth of susceptible tumor cells.”

According to Botanical Medicine, the anti-inflammatory actions of glycyrrhizin (GL) may stem from suppression of cytokines:

“As testimony to its anti-inflammatory properties, glycyrrhizin alleviated allergic asthma in an experimental mouse model, increased the IL-4 and IL-5 levels, decreased eosinophil counts and IgE levels, and upregulated total IgG2a in serum.

These results indicated that glycyrrhizin interfered with the production of IgE by decreasing the IgE-stimulating cytokines. It also attenuated lung inflammation and mucus production in mice.”

  1. Great quotes! I’ve met quite a few folks from northern countries like Finland, Sweden, Norway, etc., and liked to make the point to them they elderly there seemed so healthy and vibrant, great skin, never ill, etc. I was told on many occasions that was thanks to 3 things—the love of licorice, the saunas, and the habit of putting newborns and young children to nap outside in their buggies in the winter sun. Sounds good to me! For the bad news, I’m a bit confused by RFK, Jr. I had some doubts about how political his book is, and then I saw this clip and thought, uh-oh, more controlled op??

    1. Absolutely loved what you shared with the folks in the northern countries and what they do for health. Thank you for sharing. The RFK, Jr. clip – yikes indeed! I know just a bit of his climate warming views…but mercy, Bobby, so ill-informed. When I come across things like this, I like to follow what David Knight says (who use to be at Infowars before he quit, and now has his own podcast) – I’m paraphrasing here….when any of these politicians, media types, lawyers, doctors, folks like RFK speak the truth, you applaud them and promote what they are saying, when they spew gibberish or shyte, you call them out on it. Thanks for sending along the clip. Cheers!

      1. Yeah, I always enjoyed listening to David when he was at Infowars, in fact, he was the only one I listened to at Infowars. If you might want to check it out…Here’s the link to his website where it lists all the various media outlets where one can listen to his show. Cheers!
