Good musical choice for Halloween! Here’s another good one for the haunting evening too I think. https://youtu.be/qOSaT6U4e-8

Hi Decker,
Thanks for introducing me to Gert van Hoef. What remarkable talent!
I’ve been a pipe-organ junkie for as long as I can remember, and 3 yrs in a monastary as a Benedictine monk, and later stationed in Germany for 4 yrs certainly fed my habit. (Pardon the pun).

Hi Lou! Thank you for the fantastic links. You’re right….he is a remarkable talent. Wow! 3 yrs in a monastary as a Benedictine monk! Extremely fascinating! I too have been a pipe-organ junkie for most of my life. I actually took lessons from Alain Hobbs, probably more well-know in Europe than here in the states – many, many years ago in my early 20’s. I was mostly horrible at it, but it was wonderful in that I was given to keys to a very old Catholic church with a completely refurbished pipe organ and was allowed to go and practice at night when the church was obviously empty, and had that certain catholic-church-at-night-spookiness or wonder to it, depending on how one might view it. Again, wonderful links. Thank you, Lou! Cheers to you and yours!
