The Pain of it All

“There are so many ways of being despicable it quite makes one’s head spin. But the way to be really despicable is to be contemptuous of other people’s pain.” ― James Baldwin, Giovanni’s Room

It is there with us, in some form or another, everyday.

We wake with it, we deal with it throughout the day, we go to bed with it.

It may be physical, it may be mental, and usually, it is a combination of both.

None of us get out of this circus without the pain of life as our constant companion. And whether the pain comes from illness, from bad habits, from living in a toxic soup bowl, from anxiety, from poverty, from stress, from working 50, 60 or more hours a week…it is all pain.

We look to the gooey modern era for cures, for help, for alleviation of what we suffer.

Our illusions that their offerings are anything more than toxic sludge, set up for their profit, keeps our pain alive and their profits growing.

Why we suffer so, should not be the mystery of the ages. For much of it is a result of our own hands…whether it be how we abuse ourselves each day or allow the abuse of ourselves to happen in the first place.

God, Mother Earth, or the committee of dolphins who started this shindig…would they have set it all up for a life of unending suffering, sadness and torment? If you have a sliver of love in your heart, you probably will not think in the affirmative.

It is the homo sapiens, all of us, from the beginning of this bad comedy who allow it, who tolerate it, who put up with non-humans inflicting their nether world sewer of shyte upon us.

We chose daftness over awareness. We chose apathy over engagement. We chose lethargy, laziness, of both the mind and heart, over the sanctity of our lives and of our loved ones.

We have succumbed to it all, with silence. We hardly protest the corporate demons’ shittery.  We continue to listen to them, continue to follow them, continue to tune into their madness. And when we each, individually, suffer, or find our loved ones suffering, we mutter in our minds that this is just way it is.

But our guts, our hearts –  with the love we have for all – scream at us – asking each of us to simply stop believing in their insanity and act accordingly. But we don’t stop believing and don’t act.

The pain others suffer, is not our pain…but their pain is that which none of us want. We are satisfied with what we suffer from, and rarely question why our lives are in such disarray.

And we then shake our heads, exasperated with the pain our loved ones suffer and rarely question why.

Electromagnetic goo, toxic food and water, pharmaceutical chemical f**kery, climate engineering falling upon us from the skies – it is all there in front of our naive eyes, yet we laugh it off as preposterous shyte that the demons would never concoct….and yet again, the pain suffered from their creations, tells us that much of what we and our loved ones suffer, is not a far-fetched conspiracy…but rather the truth of it all…that evil, that f**kery, that insanity is what we allow to inflict pain upon us all, that the gods had no intention of ever bestowing upon us.

All human nature vigorously resists grace because grace changes us and the change is painful.” –  Flannery O’Connor
