Discernment

“Above all, don’t lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.” – ― Fyodor Dostoevsky, The Brothers Karamazov

Since so few know the meaning of words that are more than a couple of syllables anymore, and prefer to read and write in some lazy form of hieroglyphics – ‘u’ for you, ‘ur’ for your or you’re, and ‘v’ for very…as in  “ur a v dank fam member who is cray with adulting”, never fear, there are dickheads, masquerading as adults, who want to ensure you continue to speak with each other using a couple of letters here and there that when strung together, are basic no-nothing bullshit.

Just maybe a scant 30 or 40 years ago, ordinary folk could discern when they were being reamed up the arse – not so much anymore as woke citizens are becoming a thing of the past, with most now being social media addicts where they salivate over the latest hit from hearing who might be exchanging bodily fluids with whomever on any given night, after a time of “netflix and chill” – hooking up.

But not to worry, the adults (dickheads) of the world will take care of what you might say, and what you think in the months and years ahead:

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, tasked his Special Adviser for the Prevention of Genocide, Adama Dieng, to “present a global plan of action against hate speech and hate crimes on a fast-track basis”

“We need to enlist every segment of society in the battle for values that our world faces today – and, in particular, to tackle the rise of hate speech, xenophobia and intolerance. We hear troubling, hateful echoes of eras long past” Guterres said, “Poisonous views are penetrating political debates and polluting the mainstream. Let’s never forget the lessons of the 1930s. Hate speech and hate crimes are direct threats to human rights…”

Guterres added, “Words are not enough. We need to be effective in both asserting our universal values and in addressing the root causes of fear, mistrust, anxiety and anger. That is the key to bring people along in defence of those values that are under such grave threat today”.

In other words, forget everything about the free exchange of ideas: the UN feels that its ‘values’ are being threatened and those who criticize those values must therefore be shut down. Not only that, but — disingenuously — the UN is comparing dissent from its agendas with the rise of fascism and Nazism in the 1930s.

Now the action plan that Guterres spoke of in January is ready. On June 18, Guterres presented the United Nations Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech:

“Hate speech is…an attack on tolerance, inclusion, diversity and the very essence of our human rights norms and principles,” Guterres said. He also wrote in an article on the subject, “To those who insist on using fear to divide communities, we must say: diversity is a richness, never a threat…We must never forget, after all, that each of us is an “other” to someone, somewhere”. – via activistpost.com

Discern: To perceive with the eyes; detect or distinguish. To recognize or understand as being distinct or different

Or, if you can’t discern anymore, allow me to translate – your thoughts, if not approved by these non-humans, your speech, if not approved by these lizards, your feelings, if not sanctioned by these demons…are disallowed.

In the modern lexicon…ur f**ked…as long as you continue to let yourself be.
