“Look into your own heart and then look into the heart of another. Because when you look deeply enough into the heart of another, what you will find is yourself. ” – Max Igan
Maybe God, Mother Earth, the committee of dolphins, or whoever started this circus haven’t been able to locate the “reset” button. Surely, that is the only explanation as to how and why the circus continues.
But why would the heavens need a reset button. The economy is in great shape, so we’re told, yet more than half a million of our fellow citizens are homeless. And the number of homeless is increasing.
We scream at each other, usually via social media each day, and wonder why modern day life is so hateful.
We’ve allowed shysters, psychopath’s, swindlers and con-artists rule us – buffaloed into believing their jive of the “war on terror”, where we allow our sons and daughters to be sent to nations far away to lay to waste innocents whom they’ve never met.
We’ve gone to sleep, allowing the propaganda of the day to tell us to continue to sleep, or continue to scream at each other – whatever their nastiness of the day is that they peddle.
And yet we quietly shout to the heavens, wondering what in the world is going on and when will the heavens intervene.
Given the horrors of what humans have heaped upon other humans throughout history, and that they heavens have yet to intervene – it may still be a fortnight or more before the reset button is located.
And by continuing to swallow the modern day guano, we leave generations after us with the horridness of pharmaceutical poisons that never cure but just ensure a repeat business for the corporate excess; we leave our children bathed in an electronic goo, all for the sake of downloading a insipid movie at lightning speeds, no matter the absolute wreck it reeks on our minds and bodies. We show, if not by word, then by deed to the generations after us, that love is comatose, can easily be vanquished, can be bought, and stands for nothing….that is, unless we stand up to the psychopath’s and by whatever means available to us…say, no more.
Children Of Tomorrow
Children of tomorrow
I apologize to you
On behalf of those in my time
For the things we didn’t do
We didn’t stop the tyrants
So your fate could be prevented
We watched them steal our freedom
By our silence we consented
We didn’t choose to circumvent
The doom you’ve not escaped
While the Bill of Rights was murdered
And the Constitution raped
Some of us were lazy
Others too afraid
To think about our children
The ones we have betrayed
I guess we were too busy
To be concerned or care
To try to ease the burden
Of the chains we made you wear
We could have been good shepherds
When the wolf got in the fold
But we watched the flame of freedom die instead
And left you cold
I’m sorry we were timid
My selfish generation
We left you but a remnant
Of a free and prosperous nation
I’m sorry for our actions
Like cowards we behaved
We could have left you freedom
Instead you are enslaved
Children of tomorrow
Descendants of our land
I’m sorry we allowed this
The fate you now with stand

It would appear that the “reset” button is, and has always been within our grasp, if we but choose to push it.
