When Johnny Mathis sang of Winter being “a whipped cream day” with his rendition of the classic “It’s A Marshmallow World”, back in the 60’s, chances are he wasn’t celebrating days of living among turds.
Back in the early 60’s, life in America was a wee bit more pleasant and innocent (that’s before some magic bullet managed to do more twists and turns to kill off a President than the mainstream media does with their continued lies of how Russia peddled cursory influence via $100,000 worth of ads, deploying some sort of Jedi mind trick on “savvy”, electorally minded citizens to vote for a guy with orange hair, rather than a peat bog mummy – but I digress).
And since that magic bullet (along with a handful of other bullets from skilled marksman along the Dealey Plaza route that stopped a President dead in his tracks) political turds have expanded to the point where just as sure as a murder of crows in a tree above your car will leave their droppings on your “ride”, the political A-list A-holes, government agency incompetents and corporate turds have soiled the American landscape to guarantee that everywhere you step will be embedded with their DNA droppings of lies, scams and theft.

Reading through the chart in the article, along with many reports and articles that gloss over what’s there in the subtitles of the chart, one is almost left with the same feeling that the “old man” in “A Christmas Story” felt when lighting the lamp…”why, it’s indescribably beautiful!”.
Indescribably beautiful for the corporations and the 1% of the 1 per-centers who already have a few billion in their pockets.
As Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy in the Reagan Administration wrote a few days ago:
“The current tax legislation drops the corporate tax rate to 20%. This means that global corporations registered in the US will be taxed at a lower income tax rate than a licensed practical nurse making $50,000 per year. The nurse, if single, faces in 2017 a 25% marginal tax rate on all income over $37,950.
A single person is taxed at a rate of 33% on all income above $191,651. 33% was the top tax rate extracted from medieval serfs, and approaches the tax rate on US 19th century slaves. Such an upper middle class income as $191,651 sounds extraordinary to most Americans, but it is so far from the multi-million dollar annual incomes of the rich as to be invisible. In America, it is the shrinking middle and upper middle class incomes that bear the burden of income taxation. The rich with their capital gains from their equity holdings are taxed at 15%.
Even single individuals who earn between $1 and $9,325 are taxed at 10% on their pittance.”
And concluding from his outstanding piece…
“What we are witnessing is the complete looting of America and the entirety of the West. While the Western World collapses, the insouciant, submissive people sit there sucking their thumbs while they are being ruined.
Nothing is left of the West except looters at work.
This tax bill is an abomination, an act of brutal plunder. Its sponsors should be tarred and feathered and ridden out of town on a rail, if not hung from a lamp post.”

So, while we don’t hear from the corporate media whores of the devil in the details as outlined in Dr. Roberts article, and millionaire radio and TV personalities sing the praises of the tax plan like the cawing crow as it passes over your head, dumping a portion of its DNA on your car, I might start to believe these shysters if the millionaires, billionaires, corporations, etc., would sign on the dotted line that they’ll take the higher tax rate and let upper, middle and lower classes have the lowest tax rate that they exclusively enjoy. Turn your attention to their rathole meanderings anytime you read or listen to their tripe and you’re bound to hear of their concern for the poor – or that their wealth is spent and trickles down assisting those less fortunate, being reinvested in the nation’s economy. It’s worked magnificently to this point, right? It’s all utter bullshit!
$700 Billion (that’s our tax dollars) to the military industrial complex for 2017 alone. That probably funds quite a number of the 20,650 bombs the Trump administration let loose through July, 2017.
And there’s so many other delightfully devilish new programs to pay for with our tax dollars – like the Trump Administrations latest scheme to fund private spies to counter “deep state” enemies. Yeah, we don’t already have enough governmental agencies to do that.
And this is just a taste of the complete corruption. It is utter madness here.
Tonight’s musical offering to counter the madness – if even for 4 minutes:
