Senator Lindsay Graham and Trump decide the world already has all the nut jobs it needs who have nuclear weapons –
After having dinner with the POTUS, Senator Lindsay Graham told CNBC:

Pres @realDonaldTrump is NOT going to let the nutjob in North Korea develop a missile – with a nuclear weapon on top – that can hit the US.
8:35 AM – 25 Apr 2017
“[Trump] doesn’t want a war any more than I do, but he’s not going to let them get a missile. That’s where they’re headed. And China needs to up their game to stop this before it gets too late,” Graham told Fox. – CNBC
Thank you, Charlatan Graham.
And Senators, attending a rare briefing at the White House on Wednesday concerning the on-going North Korea soap opera were not impressed with the information provided, most probably because chocolate cake wasn’t being served for dessert:
(CNN) Nearly every US senator attended an unusual all-hands meeting on North Korea at the White House Wednesday, though afterward few said any new information emerged about the increasingly tense US standoff with Pyongyang.
But it’s cool. The all-Senate meeting at the White House probably did enough to keep the average American upset and fearful, just as they want us to be.
And ensuring he had enough face-time, supreme warmonger, Senator John McCain said on Thursday:
…that the U.S. must be prepared to strike North Korea once it is sure that country can threaten the U.S. with a nuclear weapon.
McCain was briefed on North Korea by the White House Wednesday evening, and when asked on CBS whether he thinks a U.S. military strike against North Korea is imminent, after being briefed on the situation at the White he said, “No.”
Whether the Senator thought any of the other countries who can threaten the U.S. with a nuclear weapon (Russia, France, UK, China, India, Israel, and Pakistan) should also be attacked wasn’t noted.
Alas! We had to go to that evil empire – to that country where misfits wearing Ushanka’s, secretly huddled in basements across mother Russia, eating canned stroganoff, practicing their hacking capabilities for the upcoming French election – for some pragmatic, humanitarian and adult thinking on all this.
First, from Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov providing clarity of thought on the conflicts facing the world, speaking during the Sixth Moscow Conference on International Security:
“…the entire world history shows that wars are not unleashed by generals but by politicians”.
“Russia, jointly with its partners and like-minded countries, will continue to assert solid principles in global affairs and to form the entire new global governance system reflecting the 21st century imperatives. We are ready to work together, jointly search for various options to overcome our challenges on the basis of equality, mutual respect and consideration for each other’s interests. We urge all our partners to do this.”
And then from Putin:
Putin to Abe (and Trump) on North Korea: Refrain from militaristic rhetoric and start dialogue (the 7:26 mark is the pertinent talk, although the entire 8 minute speech is well worth the listen.)
If only that Jedi mind trick that we speak of here at the Asylum from time to time could be used by the Russians on their “partners” (as they graciously call them) here in the U.S.
