Music Interlude

Some days, the news is so terrible that you just want to will it away entirely. On April 18, 1930, BBC radio did just that. Instead of their evening broadcast, they chose to play piano music. Doesn’t that sound pleasant?

When we here at the Asylum don’t want to write anything because we get, from time to time, completely out of cycle from the everyday insanity that bombardes us, we retreat.

Maybe it’s the Libra in this particular writer where the scales can’t get too out of balance, or maybe it’s just that sometimes, retreat can be a good thing. Regardless, even 4 minutes of JS Bach can refresh the soul.
