The man-child president is so easily entertained these days. Charmed and impressed with himself…always. Able to be nasty to anyone he doesn’t like…for sure. And also possessing a true gift of being able to relate glee about killing people.
Donald Trump got excited on Tuesday describing his bombing campaign against suspected drug boats, at a Hanukkah reception at the White House.
“The only time anybody could see those planes was when those bomb chutes open up, because it becomes totally un-stealth,” Trump began, making hand gestures to describe the airstrikes. “You’re going in, you go like this. And as soon as it goes like this, for some reason, the plane is totally visible, not good. And I watched it happening.”
Trump continued on, getting more animated, to scattered laughter in the crowd.
“And I watched it happening, it’s like I’m sitting home watching it, you know, it’s amazing, the situation room is an amazing place. But I watched ’em go bing, bing, it went bing, bing, and two massive hundred-thousand-pound bombs come pouring out, and the job they did was incredible,” Trump added, going on to call a particular strike “the single greatest military attack that anyone’s ever seen.” newrepublic.com
“The single greatest military attack that anyone’s ever seen”….really?
And evidently, there’s more glee to spread about bombing the bejesus out of other countries, but the peace president apparently hasn’t figured out how to spread joy about this mess that’s never reported by the main stream media.
US Launches at Least Four More Airstrikes in Somalia as Record-Shattering Bombing Campaign Continues – antiwar.com
US Africa Command has announced at least four more airstrikes in Somalia as the Trump administration continues to bomb the country at a record pace with virtually no media coverage in the United States.
…total number of airstrikes launched by AFRICOM in Somalia this year – 116.
But did they go bing, bing?
Yea, peace!
But his gift of spreading glee isn’t just centered around killing people, he can also tell whoopers…straight-faced.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was assigned the task of spreading glee about this bat guano on Fox News, but it didn’t go well.
The lie continued on Wednesday night, when Trump said during his national address he had negotiated to cut drug prices by “400, 500, and even 600 percent.”
But Fox News host John Roberts saw through the numerical gibberish, excoriating Lutnick during an interview Thursday and stressing that the math was simply “not possible.”
“Well, if you cut something by 100 percent the cost goes down to zero,” Roberts said. “If you cut it by 4-5-600 percent, the drug companies are actually paying you to take their product.”
“So tell me, how much of last night’s speech was hyperbole and how much was fact?” the host asked.
But Lutnick’s reply didn’t make much sense, either.
“No, what he’s saying is—bringing—if a drug was $100 and you bring the drug down to $13, right? If you’re looking at it from $13, it’s down seven times,” Lutnick said.
“No, it’s not—” Roberts interjected.
“Well, but it’s 700 percent higher price before. It’s down 700 percent now. So, $13 would have to go up 700 percent to get back to the old one. You could say, it’s down 87 percent, or you could say it would have to go up 700 percent to be the same one. So it just depends on the way you look at it,” Lutnick said, before insisting that the American public “all know what he’s saying.”
“We are hammering the price of drugs down,” Lutnick emphasized.
Um no, you’re not, but nice lie.
Freaking swamp creatures!
