The Peace President just can’t help himself from distributing peace anywhere and everywhere he can.
US Bombs Another Boat Off the Coast of Venezuela, Trump Claims Six ‘Narcoterrorists’ Killed – antiwar.com
The US military has bombed another boat off the coast of Venezuela, according to a statement from President Trump, who claimed, without providing evidence, that the vessel was carrying drugs.
Yea! Winning!
Why would we expect any evidence that the vessel was carrying drugs? It’s fucking enough that the Peace President throws a dart at the map on the wall and signs off on the killings wherever the dart lands. Better to get this sort of nasty business over with quickly.
The president also claimed that the strike killed “six male narcoterrorists,” bringing the total number of people extrajudicially executed by the US military since the bombing campaign started on September 2 to 27. The Trump administration has not presented any evidence to Congress to back up its allegations that the boats it has been bombing were carrying drugs or that the victims were “narcoterrorists,” a term used to justify the killings.
“Under my Standing Authorities as Commander-in-Chief, this morning, the Secretary of War, ordered a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel affiliated with a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO) conducting narcotrafficking in the USSOUTHCOM area of responsibility — just off the Coast of Venezuela,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Tuesday.
“Intelligence confirmed the vessel was trafficking narcotics, was associated with illicit narcoterrorist networks, and was transiting along a known DTO route. The strike was conducted in International Waters, and six male narcoterrorists aboard the vessel were killed in the strike. No U.S. Forces were harmed. Thank you for your attention to this matter!!!!!!” he added.
I don’t know about you, but those extra exclamation points really give the killings a nice presidential ring to them, wouldn’t you say?
The president’s post included a video that appeared to show a boat that wasn’t moving getting struck with a missile, then exploding.
Touching.
In other ‘peace’ news…
Trump: If Hamas Doesn’t Disarm, ‘We Will Disarm Them, Perhaps Violently’ – antiwar.com
President Trump on Tuesday said that Hamas will disarm and that if the group doesn’t do it voluntarily, “we” will force them, “perhaps violently,” suggesting a potential US role.
“If they don’t disarm, we will disarm them, and it will happen quickly and perhaps violently,” the president told reporters. “But they will disarm.”
When asked how he would disarm Hamas, the president said, “I don’t have to explain that to you … They know I’m not playing games.”
But you know what’s really got the Peace President bugged? No, not that Israel forces have killed at least seven Palestinians in Gaza despite the ceasefire. Come on!
It’s about his hair, baby!
Trump Melts Down Over His Hair Disappearing on Time Magazine Cover – newrepublic.com
President Trump was up in the middle of the night posting about how Time Magazine didn’t get his good side.
“Time Magazine wrote a relatively good story about me, but the picture may be the Worst of All Time. They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one. Really weird!” the president wrote at 1:36 a.m. on Monday in response to the glowing cover Time gave him titled “His Triumph,” which prominently pictures him from a close-up lower angle with the sun shining right behind his head, making his thinning blond hair appear even thinner.
A really excellent and informative interview with retired Col. Larry Wilkerson
