We haven’t heard if The Donald wants to take control over any more countries today and ‘do a job’, like he said yesterday in reference to his plans for Gaza. He’s probably knee-deep in the intricate details of making deals and must be studying up on how to take control over other countries yet to be announced.
But of course it’s not just countries he wants control over, it’s also the rare-earths in other countries he wants, especially in Ukraine.
Shockingly, he didn’t know that the rare-earths he wants in Ukraine are under Russia’s control. I guess the art of the deal is sometimes overwhelming where one can’t even grasp the basics of the deal from the start.
Zelensky admits Ukraine doesn’t control rare-earths Trump wants
US aid should be offered to Kiev only in return for access to natural resources, US President Donald Trump has proposed – rt.com
Well this is troubling.
Ukraine’s supporters must help push Russian forces off mineral-rich territories before they can invest in rare-earth resources, Vladimir Zelensky has said.
US President Donald Trump stated on Monday that Ukraine must ensure a return on “America’s $300 billion” in aid by trading it for rare-earth minerals. Speaking at the White House, shortly after freezing all USAID projects globally, Trump called for “equalization,” hinting at a deal involving the resources.
“We have enough rare-earth metals, but Russia has occupied our lands since 2014,” Zelensky retorted in Kiev on Tuesday. “We are open to them being developed by our partners who help us defend the land, push back the enemy with their weapons, presence, and sanctions. And this is absolutely fair.”
I’m sure that ‘push’ is kind of equivalent to ‘do a job’, at least in real estate developing that his Orangeness is planning for Gaza. And I’m sure it’s really no big deal to ‘push’ Russian forces off those mineral-rich territories. Ukraine’s success in doing that for the last two years shows how easy it is.
Rare-earth minerals – 17 elements valued for their magnetic and electrochemical properties – are used in smartphones, EV batteries, and cancer treatment.
Zelensky claimed further that he has raised Ukraine’s mineral wealth with Trump in past meetings, warning that if Russia controls the resources, companies from other nations will exploit them.
Before the 2022 escalation of the Ukraine conflict, the country had Europe’s largest reserves of titanium and lithium, which are not rare-earths, but are critical for military industries, batteries, and capacitors. Around $7 trillion of Ukraine’s total mineral wealth is in its former Donbass regions of Donetsk and Lugansk, according to Forbes.
Most of these territories came under Russian control after Donetsk and Lugansk voted to join Russia in 2022. Both declared independence in 2014 from Ukraine after the Western-backed Maidan coup in Kiev.
A 2024 World Economic Forum report has highlighted Ukraine’s potential as a key supplier of raw materials vital for defense, aerospace, and green energy. Ukraine’s total mineral wealth was estimated at over $14.8 trillion in 2023, according to Forbes.
Dementia isn’t contagious, but new vaccines are under development for it, and since the father of the vaccines was so fond of the cornhholio stabbies he got going with his Operation Warp Speed, he might want to volunteer to be in the clinical trials for these new vaccines before making any new deals.
