The Pentagon confirmed Wednesday [September 2023] that the U.S. will send depleted uranium ammunition to Ukraine as part of a new $175 million military aid package, drawing outrage from progressive foreign policy advocates who have warned against such a move and noted the horrific impact such weapons have had in Iraq and elsewhere.
A byproduct of natural uranium enrichment, depleted uranium is highly dense and often used for projectiles designed to pierce tanks and other armored vehicles. On impact, depleted uranium weapons produce a cloud of particles that can be inhaled by soldiers and nearby civilians.
The Pentagon said it is sending Ukraine 120mm depleted uranium rounds that can be fired from the Abrams tanks the U.S. is also set to begin delivering.
The announcement came weeks after the U.S. shipped widely banned cluster munitions to Ukraine, ignoring human rights groups’ warnings about the potentially devastating consequences for civilians in the present and years into the future.
“It wasn’t enough for the U.S. to send cluster bombs that will kill children for generations to Ukraine,” Aída Chávez, communications director for the progressive anti-war group Just Foreign Policy, wrote on social media. “Now, the Biden admin is sending depleted uranium—which will cause babies to be born with severe deformities and cancer.”
“To this day,” Chávez added, “children in places like Fallujah are being born with gruesome birth defects due to the U.S. military’s use of depleted uranium.”
The U.S.-led coalition that invaded Iraq in 2003 used thousands of tonnes of depleted uranium bombs and shells over just a three-week period that year.
Research suggests the lasting health effects for Iraqis have been severe.

i don’t know it all. i am grateful for the info you bring. it is always something i HAVEN’T seen. but i know what you mean. we tried to tell relatives about the con job that was covid. the chemical campaign to fumigate all life on the planet via airplanes and get the same crap answer. one said…I SEE CONDENSATION TRAILS…and refused to see the truth that is is toxic waste spray.
they can dispose of almost all corporate toxic waste by spraying it in the air. pumping it into the water and claiming it is good for your teeth. put in the chocolate bars and call it soy lecithin. stuff they can’t get rid of any other way they feed to the human pigs…..swine that people eat are great for eating garbage so those in government and corporations look at the population as little more then livestock to do what they want with. human in name only. one of those goons said. it justifies doing anything they want to them.
pump poison into the human body and watch the body recycle it and eventually consume it entirely as the body can only take so much before it is wiped out. bury them in concrete vaults so the toxic waste inside their body doesn’t leech into the soil and water.
so many things people refuse to see….like graveyards recycling the dead. if no one visits an old grave for so many years the graveyard owners dig up them and dispose of them. in the land fill perhaps or perhaps they take the bones grind them up and sell it to people as a fertilizer. and resell the grave. over and over and over again. money making scam.
laws designed to enrich a small group of people at the expense of the many. that is all they are there for. laws about what we are ”allowed” to do with our own dead for instance. in many places you are forced to use the funeral homes that cut up your loved one and sell bits and pieces of them before they are buried, loot the body before it goes into the ground and then dig it up again 20 years later and resell the plot to someone else. a law designed to make it illegal for us to decide what happens to a family member after death. you get to pay tens of thousands of dollars to a scam artist a corporate fat cat who lies to you just like doctors lie to the living. and organ harvesters lie about the patient being dead. they don’t take organs from dead people unless your a funeral home selling body parts to ‘those people we are told are mini gods….scientists….yeah…right.
on lie after the other. it is what life is based on! and you can’t take the blinders off people without them going batshit crazy. they get really angry if you remove their illusions. and make them see the truth.
