  1. interesting background on the song. I played this a lot during the covid con of 2020 people masked up and we weren’t. they jumped out of our way when we didn’t and wouldn’t ‘social distance’. we didn’t play the game.

that song kept leaping into my head. people talking without speaking….all masked up…people hearing without listening….people writing songs that voices never shared…and no one disturbs the sound of silence!

things have not changed much since then either! still a bunch mask wearing morons self suffocating to please their neon gods (the phone in hand)

words whispered in the sounds of silence. no matter how many people you try to educate about the injections, covid con and the flying fumigators wiping the air and the earth no one listens….the sounds of silence.

his version is better then mine….!

  2. I always liked Simon and GAR-FARKLE , but never enough to buy an album.
The only folkey stuff I ever liked was good bluegrass, Grateful Dead and The Band.

But… changing gears related to the darkness theme – I believe the truth is getting out…DON’T go to the light when you die… it feels all sweet and peachy…then your freedom is gone and you’re back on this prison planet of the self-chosen tribe…. the truth is out that John Lennon was sick of them, called them “leeches”.
