We Remember…and If We Haven’t, We Should Try

April 4th, 1968 Martin Luther King was shot and killed.

So many have forgotten, or sadly, maybe never really heard his message, along with the message of others silenced; JFK, Malcolm X, RFK, and many others we may not have known, who tried to lift us, our spirits, our minds and hearts to a higher state – and who also exposed corruption, stood for peace, equality and were a voice for the poor and downtrodden.

Maybe if we can listen again to their messages and remember what we’re each here for – to help one another and stand for peace, for equality, for justice, for the poor and less fortunate, we can carry forth their dreams and honor the efforts of those who would not be silenced.
