The Dogs Know

“There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened.” ~ Douglas Adams

Only the gods know how many replacements of the Universe they’ve engineered in hopes of getting it right so that the right blend of humans might love one another, instead of laying each other to waste in one fashion or another.

When one takes the emotion out of it all, and thinks, if possible, with common sense – one concludes that human beings, by and large, are mostly out to lunch.

Most of us, want love – on our own terms.

We appreciate kindness – when we’re on the receiving end.

We enjoy expanding our worldview by listening to others whose opinions agree with ours.

We continue to scream at each other in hopes of arriving at some state of nirvana where the views and opinions of all are welcomed.

We elect “leaders” (psychopath’s – not human) who cannot lead, who cannot fathom anything outside their worldview of wars, destruction, power, control, profits and killings, because…they’re psychopath’s – yet we continue to endure their guano.

And we allow ourselves to buy into the dastardly deeds of the psychopath’s BS – from genetically modifying the food we eat, to swallowing the pharmaceutical conglomerates prescription of chemicals that never cure a damn thing, and to the most deplorable of it all…turning our view away from our leaders, allowing them to continue to wage wars, not only against innocents in sovereign nations far away, but also against our own here at home – with their empty promises, their callousness, their ugliness and apathy.

But there are creatures the Universe created who “get it”, and always have”:

A loyal dog which has waited on a busy road for more than 80 days after its owner died there has captured the hearts of online communities in China.

Footage of the animal in the middle of the road in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, has been viewed 1.4 million times on the popular Sina Weibo microblog.

China’s Pear Video website said the dog has been seen in the road every day since its owner died on 21 August.

The dogs get it…it appears humans continue to have the damnedest time understanding the basics.

“Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.” – Douglas Adams
